Since I am so behind on here...I will start at Christmas and blog backwards! Fondant Christmas Birthday Cupcakes

I have been up to my ears in baking and loving every second of it! Which is why I chose to say no to most of the Christmas baking orders I was asked to do. I KNOW what you are thinking, why would I turn down orders. Well, I have a family, daycare, and i LOVE to sleep at night {all you bakers know what I am talking about}. I did sneak in an order for my sweet niece who just turned 2 and her smart mommy & daddy embraced the dreaded birthday in December issue and went with it! EVERYTHING was so cute and she loved it!
She chose to do 12 red velvet & 12 chocolate. We also made a special cupcake for her friend who shared her birthday with the birthday girl!
I was bummed that I didn't know about the cookie decorating contest the paper held...next year it is ON!! Sugar cookies up next, so check back. Thanks for taking a look at my yummy creations!

Summer Fun

Now that school has started, I turned the calendar to September, and Labor Day fun has already been had seems like summer is over. Well, unless you live here in the heat of AZ! But I can pretend cant I?
These cupcakes & cookies were for a summer party for a sweet little girl that I have the pleasure of watching grow.
She had a great party & was even enjoying a watermelon cookie the next week when I saw her! I cannot wait to make some fall yummy treats!

Please forgive me being the MIA blogger...

This is where I have been and what I have been up to! https://www.facebook.com/FrostedBlissGoodies
So busy...but so much fun! I just actually had to purchase a 2nd fridge to hold all the goodies I have been making for others! LOVE IT!!! There is so much for me to learn about the cookie decorating, but I really enjoy learning it and trying what I see. I am extremely thankful to have found this outlet for my crafty-side that can pay for it's self at times.

Ugly Sweater Christmas Party!

I made some mini chocolate cupcakes with butter cream frosting and sprinkled broken peppermint candy on the top of them and WOW was that good! It gave the entire thing a candy cane taste.
My tray of ugly sweater cookies was a huge hit! They were so fun and it was interesting which cookie people chose.

Here is a peak at the baked goodies I had that night! It was a great time...so great in fact we forgot to take pictures of everyones "lovely" attire. Next year there WILL be pictures!

Ugly Sweater Party Cookies

I made my sugar cookies, but instead for pouring the frosting I used fondant. My fondant is homemade marshmallow fondant which is AMAZING! I have had people refuse to try something I have made if it has fondant on it, because they have only tried the GROSS kind that some bakers use on wedding cakes and such. That tastes nothing like mine!!! I promise! These cookies are SOOO good and so cute as well!
It was fun to get to be creative and create "ugly" cookies! I may be partial, but I don't see anything ugly about them! ;)

YUMMY & CUTE!!!
I made this Panda sweater for my oldest daughters friend who was tricked by her grandma into wearing an ugly sweater with a panda on it to church for the teens, when in fact it was NOT an ugly sweater event! OH GRANDMA!!!

Christmas Poured Sugar Cookies

*Note to self: Do Not Take Photo's Using Light Above Stove!!!* These cookies do look pretty, but with the yellow tray and yellow light, not so much! But they sure did taste yummy!
I made these for a white elephant gift exchange party I went to in December. It was a blast, let's just say the ladies got crazy playing Catch Phrase!!!
I was playing with the pour method of decorating then dragging a tooth pick across the colors to chage the swirl look. I LIKE IT!!!

The platter lookd pretty cute and I brought it home after that night with 2 cookies on it...my hubby was excited to get some. Poor guy sees most of the baking I do go out the door.

Along with this batch of Christmas cookies I made were some Ugly Sweater Party Cookies for a get-together we hosted one evening for some of our neighbor friends from church.....

Caramel Filled Chocolate Cupcakes

One of the first things I learned on Pinterest was how to make caramel from boiling a can of sweetened condensed milk. WOW!!!! It makes an amazing soft, creamy, milky caramel. This is a different type of caramel than the other kind I make. Those are filled with the chewy, gooey, caramel apple type! Both are AMAZING!!!

This a tray of cupcakes that i sent to work with my hubby! YUMMY!!!

I am currently working on a price list...

OREO cupcakes!

My family is addicted to double stuff Oreo's...which is why it is rare if I purchase them. I was looking for some new cupcake recipes to play with and I came across this one. I first crushed the Oreo's and put them in the cupcake papers. Then I covered them with my chocolate cupcake mix and prayed that they turn out.
They turned out AMAZING and my husband who thought he had already gone to cupcake heaven, was taken to a whole new level with these!
Everyone that tried them really enjoyed them, my tween even requested to take some with her to share with friends at a sleepover.

I need to thank and give credit to Bakerella http://www.bakerella.com/cookies-and-cream-cupcakes/. These cupcake frosting tastes exactly like the center of the cookies! WOW, is all I can say! My only regret is that I can's share them with my Oreo loving WA bestie...Shanna even though I shouldn't according to her last blog update. Hehehe!

Lady Bug 1st Birthday!!!

I was asked by a long lost friend to make cupcakes for her daughter's 1st birthday party. The theme is red lady bugs...did I mention the lil birthday princess is the little sister to 3 brothers, so bring on the girly! First I made all the lady bugs, this alone took me 3 hours. I always seem to under estimate the actual time to make, color, and work with the fondant. But I LOVE doing it!!!
Some of them just had the lady bugs on them.
While other's have the letter's with the lady bug design and the actual lady bugs.
I can imagine that the brothers will still enjoy these since they are bugs with green frosting!
These turned out so cute.
I was also asked if the cousin could have a special cupcake since his birthday was also the same time. Hope they all loved them!
